I started out as an unpaid freelance writer at The Wake, a student-run magazine at the University of Minnesota. Eventually, I was promoted to staff writer and then to athletics editor. During my tenure I wrote 25 articles for the athletics section, and I helped The Wake transition from a bi-weekly publication to a weekly publication. While working at The Wake, I also worked at BuySelf Realty, Inc. as a business intern. Here I helped grow a small, but prosperous, limited service real estate company's revenues 64 percent in 2006, compared to 2005.I was the marketing coordinator for D. Brian's Deli and Catering, a local chain of deli restaurants in the Twin Cities. I am currently the marketing and communications coordinator at Applied Engineering Technology in Maple Grove, MN. I am also writing columns for Personal Branding Magazine.
